FEATURES:

- Fully automatic single & dual directional chain operation

- High-quality finish on above-deck components

- Heavy chrome over marine-grade alloy bronze

- Integral chain pipe and stripper are aligned for virtually jam-free operation providing automatic feeding of chain into and out of the anchor locker

- Port and starboard chainpipes for twin installations (Sizes 2200 and above only)

- Marine grade alloy gearbox housing, finished with a two coat paint system

- Oil level sight glass/drain plug for inspection and gearbox oil change

- Chain wheel locking pawl (Except 500 and 800 Series)

Important: Maxwell windlasses must be used in conjunction with a chain stopper or snubbing device to take the load off the windlass while laying at anchor. The chain stopper and alternative snubbing system can also be used to secure the anchor in the fully raised position while under way.
